In the Spotlight
August 4, 2008 - aloha’aina
I listened to “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” by Disney and “Mahalo” by Souljah a moment ago. While the music was played on, my mind and soul suddenly flew higher and higher and dropped in a land where people lying on a secluded beach, your troubles drifting away with the gentle ocean waves. Exploring lush tropical rain forests, immersing themselves in a thousand different shades of green and blue. SCUBA and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, coming face to face with schools of rainbow-colored fish. Toast another day and catch another brilliant sunset. Dancing hula with friendly other foreigners.
While I was dreaming, I stumbled upon a website that said something like this,
“A recent shark attack off of Waianae, Oahu has made headlines across the world. However, incidents of sharks biting people in Hawaiian waters are very rare, occurring on average at a rate of about 3 or 4 per year. Fatal shark bites are extremely rare, especially considering the number of people in Hawaii’s waters.” - About.com
Made my dream melted away at once. While I was thinking about snorkeling in a clear water, meeting various kinds of colored fish, smiling to them and pulling out my hand to reach on of them… but a shark came up and bit my hand. Ouch!
Huahahaha!
Around more than 2 weeks ago, I entered to a blog site with the webmistress resides in Hawaii, and she wrote something about “Some planes in Hawaii suspended or closed down, except for the Hawaiian Airlines”, really, is that true? How is the situation there now?
Today’s question for you: Have you ever been to Hawaii? Tell me a bit of experience! Or if you haven’t, tell me what you did and felt when you went to a beach. ?

July 23, 2008 - A Hate-Love Letter
Have you read this before? It’s so nice and sweet, I found it somewhere in my harddisk .. enjoy!
——
Message: This is a love letter from a boy to a girl….
However, the girl’s father does not like him and
want them to stop the relationship……
So, the boy wrote this letter to the little girl.
1 “The great love that I have for you
2 is gone, and I find my dislike for you
3 grows every day. When I see you,
4 I do not even like your face;
5 the one thing that I want to do is to
6 look at other girls. I never wanted to
7 marry you. Our last conversation
8 was very boring and has not
9 made me look forward to seeing you again.
10 You think only of yourself
11 If we were married, I know that I would find
12 life very difficult, and I would have no
13 pleasure in living with you. I have a heart
14 to give, but it is not something that
15 I want to give to you. No one is more
16 foolish and selfish than you, and you are not
17 able to care for me and help
18 I sincerely want you to understand that
19 I speak the truth. You will do me a favor
20 if you think this the end. Do not try
21 to answer this. Your letters are full of
22 things that do not interest me. You have no
23 true love for me. Good-bye! Believe me,
24 I do not care for you. Please do not think that
25 I am still your boyfriend.”
So bad….. However, the boy told the girl
before to
“READ BETWEEN THE LINES”, meaning only to
read 1.3.5.7.9.11.13……
So…
Please read it again!….it’s nice n sweet..

July 9, 2008 - Coffee Addiction
I wasn’t be able to update yesterday cause I had a fever, but till today the fever won’t go away and I cannot stand sleeping in bed all day, I try to blog something to excite myself for the entire boring day.

“Coffee is a widely-consumed stimulant beverage prepared from roasted seeds, commonly called coffee beans, of the coffee plant. Coffee was first consumed in the 9th century, when it was discovered in the highlands of Ethiopia. From there, it spread to Egypt and Yemen, and by the 15th century had reached Armenia, Persia, Turkey, and northern Africa. From the Muslim world, coffee spread to Italy, then to the rest of Europe and the Americas.Today, coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide.” - Wikipedia
With a pre-fever symptons I had, I still went to Taman Anggrek Mall yesterday with my younger brothers, brought a 7th Harry Potter book with myself to accompany me while sitting in Starbucks cafe. I bought Mocca Frappuccino + Whipped Cream + Caramel Sauce + Grande Size for Rp 44.000,00 ( US$ 4.7). It’s a very tasty drink and very addictive. Every gulp is so stunning, I felt I didn’t want to miss a single thing. I remember the last coffee I purcased in Starbucks Coffee was the same coffee I bought last year, June 2006 in Bali island.
I sat for nearly 2 hours before my brother joined with me. He is a 8th-year old boy, fat but funny and fun just like Po in Kungfu Panda. He then purchased another drink: Caramel Macchiato + Tall Size for Rp 36.000,00 (US$ 3.6). It was also tasty, but still, Mocca Frappucino is tastier!
Some people especially teenagers tend to sit around Starbucks Cafe just for their own prestige, for showing-off… I dislike those people.
Anyway, I heard from my friend Sophia, Starbucks Cafe is not too popular in America? Or in your country?
Tell me a bit about it. Do you like coffee as much as I do?

July 7, 2008 - Everything Comes From Your Eyes
“She has beautiful eyes.”
Those words came out from a married bloke’s mouth when he first saw his first baby girl’s eyes. They were all black and deep. The baby then closed her eyes when she cried, sometimes she blinked while her little mouth opened. Looked innocent and stunning, he thought, she would become a beautiful young lass someday.
As the time flew by, the baby grew up to a little girl. A fun girl to play with. Laughed with her friends and her family, loved by her schoolmates, but she seemed could not manage to interact well with the other friends. She was way too kind and friendly that her schoolmates liked to tease her.. or even made fun of her. Was it because of the eyes that the girl had? Too innocent to play with.
When she stepped in the 3rd grade, she was almost totally bullied, especially by a 1st-ranked student that sit next to her. Pity for her.
With the beautiful black eyes she had, she finally finished her primary school, with feeling no burden with her sight when she had to deal with reading, watching, seeing, and writing. The world seemed so beautiful and bright.
But everything changed when she first entered Junior High School.
At the Optician
“Can you read those letters by your left eye?” asked the optician.
“H V I O P .. U… W .. Q.. S… ah, getting smaller!” she said.
Then the man examined the girl’s right eye.
“And for this time? What can you read?” asked the optician once again.
Silent before them.
Seconds later, she broke the silence.
“I cannot read anything.”
The man added some lenses, thinking the girl’s myopia was higher than the left eye, “How about this time?”
The girl replied plainly and innocently,
“I cannot see a thing.”
